Ash'mvale

Capital city with an outer and inner section. The outer section is populated by man fertile plains, it is common for farmers to live here. Ash'mvale has a large variety of farms and vineyards. While the inner section is the actual more gothic-like city filled with distinctive districts and many-storied buildings.

Ash'mvale has a robust education system from mathematics, literature, history, and religion. Most people that graduate from their schooling system often stay in Ash'm to teach elsewhere, or go abroad and tend to get hired on the spot.

Firelight District

Near the back, center of Ash'mvale where the Firelight Church is located. The Radiant Repository is located within the Firelight Church, an immense vault of gathered wisdom which carries every and all knowledge that could ever be amassed extending to forbidden lore which is carefully concealed within a nightmare realm (accessible to a rare few). Newbridge Academy stands as an exceptional boarding school, renowned for its unwavering commitment to both academic excellence, spiritual growth, and even arcane growth.

Firelight Church

The colossal cathedral, standing sentinel at the heart of Ash'mvale, accomodates citizens, commerce, and sacred shrines rendering it a crucial piece of infrastructure within the walls.

Originally conceived as a sanctuary for the city's religious history, encompassing a range of elvish, human, and celestial faiths, its purpose was drastically altered during the great cleansing of the Godless King. In his era, the building underwent an identity transformation, becoming a hub for state functions and military operations.

Now, it's a place of worship, where Lucien Crowl is often seen there, sermons are still held to bring faith and hope to inhabitants that visit for such words; it is still very overpopulated with barracks, training grounds, knights, and inquisitors roaming about and doing as much as they can to protect the ones that live here.

Radiant Repository

Situated within the Firelight Church, the Radiant Repository stands as an immense vault of gathered wisdom. It's home to all knowledge amassed within the city, extending to forbidden lore, which is carefully concealed in a nightmare realm; a domain accessible to a rare few. The raw power held within these tomes could potentially wreck more havoc in malicious hands than any of the deadly weapons born by Ash'mvale inhabitants.

Radiant Scribes meticulously sift through and organize the endless amount of documents. Their task may seem tedious, but they are profoundly aware of their duty's weight. Even a minor clerical error or misfiled document could sever crucial supply lines to cricial city sectors, leaving them weaponless amidst ferocious combat. They labor during daylight, their diligent work ceasing only when nightfall descends. After dusk, the Repository transforms into a quiet, deserted place, broken only by the footfalls of Crown himself, or other watchmen. In recent times, these watchmen have found their resolve tested by haunted whispers emerging from the library's forbidden sections.

Newbridge

Newbridge Academy stands as an exceptional boarding school. Renowned for its unwavering commitment to both academic excellence and spiritual growth, Newbridge offers a remarkable high-quality education. Its well-crafted curriculum encompasses both secular subjects and teachings inspired by the revered deity Ash'm to foster a holistic development for its students. With its seren surroundings and dedicated faculty, Newbridge ensures that the pursuit of knowledge and spiritual understanding is accessible to all, reflecting the values of the city.

On top of everything, Newbridge provides teachings related to arcane magic as well if a student may be magically inclined. They provide teachings and cirriculums for most schools of magic.

Newbridge provdes dormitories for citizens and international students to live comfortably on campus.

Scarlet District

Mainly functions as a marketplace. The centerpiece, the central market, is a bustling hub where trade thrives; armories, smithies, magical items, survival items, necessities, anything one can think of. Carmilla Greenhouse houses the one and only Carmilla and whoever she handpicks to assist her in her noble endeavor to mend whatever ails the city. The sewers also mainly lie beneath this district (and throughout the whole capital), it's hypothesized that beasts of the Scourge use these tunnels as daytime retreats.

Floodgate District

Since Ashm'vale was originally meant to be a port city, they have a large docking district that is now grossly flooded over. Streets are now canals, most buildings are underwater, and it's abandoned and closed off for the most part. However, some buildings remain above sea level, namely the Abyssal Keep. Center of this district lies the Abyssal Keep which looks like a large lighthouse, but more of its expansive architecture is under sea-level.

Bleak District

Considered to be the 'slums' of Ash'mvale. Bleak is known for its mining caverns and its recent booming technology of clockwork soldiers. Due to many years of digging downwards, the Bleak District is always a threat to more underground horrors and inhabitants that crawl to the surface. Bleak District is rife with various diseases due to people being exposed to the prolonged smog that chokes them out.
